Utterly charming as illustrated by its Ville d’Art et d’Histoire label (Town of Art and History), Mulhouse is a particularly enjoyable city to explore. It thus owes its title of European capital of technical museums to the Cité de l’Automobile and the Cité du Train, respectively the most important museums in Europe and worldwide within their field. Plenty of reasons for a pleasant trip departing from Lyon, from where it is also easy to fly out for a business trip in the French Manchester, nicknamed due to its rich industrial heritage, and in the region of Basel.
