Boarding a plane to Manchester means going to a mythical destination of the footballing world. But the Old Trafford stadium, nicknamed "The theatre of dreams", is not the city’s only attraction. The former mining city, which has become an active economic hub, is also worth the trip to walk in the footsteps of a few famous bands (including Oasis and the Stones Roses) before visiting the Town Hall or the Imperial War Museum North.
